How We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when enrolling in a course or program, or when placing an order, only to complete that process. We do not sell, transfer, or otherwise share this information with outside parties except only to the extent necessary to complete the process.
We use the information that you provide about someone else (i.e. - in the case of gift purchases), when placing an order only to ship the product and to confirm delivery. We do not sell, transfer, or otherwise share this information with outside parties except only to the extent necessary to complete that order.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties, except if such disclosure is required for the purpose of completing an ESD order (Electronic Software Delivery). In this case, the email address is used solely for the purpose of confirming and completing the order.
You may voluntarily register on our website if you would like to receive our newsletter as well as update information regarding TIFRM courses, programs, products, and services. We do not sell, transfer, or otherwise share this information with outside parties except only to the extent necessary to fulfill a customer request. TIFRM reserves the right to notify registered students and users via e-mail, to the e-mail address of record, in regards to important issues relating to our courses, programs, products, and services. You have the right to elect to not receive e-mails from TIFRM by “opting-out”, or to update or change your preferences, and simple instructions and/or a link for doing so is provided in the Newsletter and other general communications. If you opt-out of receiving future communications from TIFRM, you will be permanently removed from the distribution list.
If you are a professional who offers services and who holds a credential recognized by TIFRM, you may register to be included in our Professional Directory for students and visitors. In this case, you will need to provide accurate personally-identifiable information including your name, contact information, professional qualifications, service area, etc. This information is voluntarily provided by you for the purpose of a public listing in the Professional Directory. The Professional Directory is an optional resource offered by TIFRM, and TIFRM is not responsible for the use or potential misuse of information that you provide in the Professional Services Directory. We reserve the exclusive right to determine the appropriateness of any information that is requested to be included in the listing, and to remove listings or information that we deem to be inappropriate.
We may collect and use non-personally identifying and aggregate information. We do so to better design our website, to track sources of new visitors who may visit our site by accessing a link from a third party website, and to compensate Affiliates who may have referred customers to our site. For example, we may identify that X number of individuals visited a certain area of our website. In the case of third party affiliates who may have linked to our website, we report only that a referred and non-identified visitor to our site made a purchase and provide the purchase amount to our Affiliate Program management company for the purpose of calculating a referral commission. We do not share or disclose personally-identifiable customer information to our affiliates or to our Affiliate Program management company.
Finally, we do not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the means described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those whom we actually know to be under 13. No portion of our website is structured or designed to attract anyone under the age of 13

Personal information submitted through the TIFRM website is not accessible online, except through the preference update option included in communications that you receive (i.e. the Newsletter, Resource E-Mails, etc.).
